Original Höveler PUR LUZERNE are alfalfa cobs, pressed from young alfalfa with a high leaf content. As a single feed, they contain no artificial additives, flavors, or molasses. PUR LUZERNE is gently pressed, thus retaining all the vital nutrients that make alfalfa so special as the "Queen of Forage Plants." Due to its good ratio of essential amino acids, alfalfa promotes muscle building and is equally suitable for underweight horses, sport horses, growing horses, and breeding horses. Furthermore, alfalfa has a high calcium content, making it ideal as a supplement to grain rations. PUR LUZERNE can also be used as a grain substitute (1.2 kg of alfalfa replaces approx. 1 kg of grain).

Feeding Recommendation

Feed per 100 kg live weight:

 
• Without work: 0.1 - 0.2 kg  
• Light work: 0.2 - 0.3 kg  
• Underweight horses: 0.3 - 0.4 kg  

PUR.LUZERNE should be fed soaked. The soaking time is approx. 15 minutes with warm water.
