Application:
Clean the stall and allow to dry
Initial bedding: Spread a 5 cm thick layer in the stall and moisten the pellets (0.6 liters of water per 1 kg of pellets)
Remove impurities daily, remaining bedding stays in the stall
Completely soaked bedding should be fully removed and topped up with new material. Wet bedding can be dried and reused.
Disposal on manure heap, compost, or in a biogas plant
Animals must not be on the bedded area until the pellets have fully broken down. There is a risk that the pellets could be ingested, which may lead to constipation and gastric blockages.
Bedding volume per horse stall for a floor area of 15 m²
Initial bedding/stall: 375 kg
Top-up: approx. 7.5 kg per week per stall (may vary due to soiling and odor formation). Pellets used for topping up do not need to be moistened but can be mixed with the existing bedding.
Bedding change: Usually after 6 months (may vary due to soiling and odor formation) and then new initial bedding.
