Complementary Feed

Höveler Western Basic is a wholesome muesli characterized by a low energy content and a moderate starch content of only 13%. This makes Western Basic particularly suitable for easily maintained horses or those with less workload. The high-fiber recipe promotes the horse's chewing activity and thus the salivation of the feed. In combination with the high digestibility of the grain components, which are completely digested in the horse's small intestine, and the reduction in carbohydrates, Western Basic offers an easily digestible muesli mix.

The molasses-free recipe is fully vitaminized and mineralized and can therefore also be used as the sole hard feed. Whole plant alfalfa, as the queen of forage plants, is rich in amino acids and thus supports the muscle metabolism of the Western horse in combination with vitamin E and selenium. Exquisite herbal plants also make Western Basic particularly palatable, and the high crude fiber content specifically promotes the horse's chewing activity.
