Höveler Western PUXX is a palatable supplement for horses of all ages and performance levels. Western PUXX can be used as an addition to the usual ration or as a sole hard feed, and are particularly suitable for competitions or trail rides. They can also be used as a daily meal to encourage longer feeding and chewing times, thus promoting optimal digestion, thanks to their long-fiber structure.
This high-quality structural feed, made from alfalfa and timothy grass, improves the salivation of feed and can compensate for hay shortages. The alfalfa in Höveler Western PUXX provides a blend of structure and numerous vital nutrients, such as amino acids, which support targeted muscle building.
Thus, Western PUXX is a combination of basic feed and muscle-building concentrate, rounded off with highly digestible grains for optimal energy supply. Feeding additional concentrate feed is possible in combination with Western PUXX but no longer strictly necessary. Höveler PUXX can be offered to horses dry without soaking, provided they have healthy teeth and normal eating behavior.
Feed per 100 kg live weight per day
As a concentrate feed substitute:
For optimal supply, a mineral supplement is recommended when feeding Western PUXX as the sole hard feed.
*A minimum of 1 to 1.5 kg of hay per 100 kg live weight/day should be fed (pasture is not considered here).
Accordingly, Western PUXX can be fed to ensure the horse's need for chewable crude fiber.
Western PUXX should be introduced slowly to gently accustom the horse to the new structure.
Can be fed dry or soaked if required.
For dental problems, hasty eaters, or reduced water intake, we recommend soaking the product.
Fresh water should always be freely available
